Under 12 Indoor
The amount of volleyball programming for the under-12 age group is steadily increasing. Currently, these programs takes one of four main forms.
1) Mini-volleyball is a Volleyball Canada program designed for children in grades K- 6.
2) Atomic Volleyball is a Volleyball Canada program designed for children between 8-12 years of age (You can apply to receive a Free Atomic Volleyball Starter Kit).
3) STARS Volleyball is a privately operated program designed for children in Grades 1-6 (supported by Alberta Volleyball).
4) Other Programs are privately run programs by various organizations.
Under 12 Program Dates
- For STARS program dates, please visit the STARS website
- The Dinos Women's Volleyball Club (Calgary) normally offer programs beginning in January (for athletes 8-12 years old). For registration and program information, please contact Natalie Schwartz at 403-969-2176.
- The Chestermere Recreation Centre will be running both an Atomic Volleyball Program (Grades 5-8) and a Mini Volleyball Program (Grades 1-3) beginning in September.
- FOG Volleyball Club (Edmonton)- Little Foggers Atomic Program
- SEAVC Rattlers (Medicine Hat) Developmental Program
- Grande Prairie Wolves Atomic Volleyball
- Fort McMurray PAWS Volleyball at the Syncrude Sport and Wellness Centre.
- The Cochrane Jaguars run an Atomic Volleyball Program in the fall- www.jaguarsvolleyball.ca. The 2010 program will run Sundays from 1:30-3:00 pm at Bow Valley High School (Cochrane) beginning September 26.
