Team Alberta Indoor Brings Home 5 Medals from Championships
The Team Alberta Indoor program showcased how talented our athletes are over the July 22-24th weekend by bringing home five medals from the various Championships.
NATIONAL TEAM CHALLENGE CUP
At the National Team Challenge Cup event (Men: Gatineau, Women: Winnipeg), the Team Alberta 18 Men brought home a Silver Medal from NTCC’s with the Alberta 18 Women taking a Bronze. The Alberta 17 Women finished 6th. Alberta players named to the Tournament All-Star Team were: Ryley Barnes, Brett Walsh, & Megan Wood.

WESTERN ELITE CHAMPIONSHIPS (Kelowna, BC)
Both of Alberta's 16U Women's Provincial Teams brought home medals from the Western Elite Championships with Alberta White claiming the Gold, & Alberta Blue taking the Bronze. On the Boys side, a five set battle had Alberta White edging out Alberta Blue for the Bronze medal.
Team Alberta should also be recognized for bringing home the "Sawula Cup", which is awarded to the province with the best total results at the Western Elite Championships.
