Team Alberta Beach

- To produce excellence among the top age class athletes in the province of Alberta.
- To develop the athlete’s technical, tactical, physical and psychological skills by exposing selected athletes to enriched levels of training and competition.
- To provided opportunities for personal and leadership development.
- Success at the Provincial Championships, Western Canada Summer Games, Canada Summer Games, National Championships; as well as the long-term preparation of athletes for participation and success at National Team levels.
The Provincial Team Program will also assist in the development of competitive volleyball in Alberta by working in conjunction with players, coaches and volunteers associated with Alberta’s other volleyball delivery programs.

For 2011, Alberta Volleyball will be running a number of different Team Alberta Beach programs listed below:
18U Girls and 19U Boys
One team from each gender will be selected to represent Alberta at the Western Canada Summer Games in Kamloops, BC in August 2011. The Selection Camp for these two teams will be July 26 in Sylvan Lake and the camp is open to all athletes; however, Team AB coaches will also be attending beach events prior to the Selection Camp and inviting athletes to attend.

If selected to the 18U Girls or 19U Boys WCSG teams, athletes will train during the month of July, before heading to the Games in early August.
