NCCP Course Dates
Alberta Volleyball is responsible for the delivery of the NCCP Technical courses and regularly schedules courses throughout the year. Please check the course dates and locations below for the course nearest you. These courses apply coaching principles for volleyball. The topics covered in this component include: skills, drills, training methods, strategy and tactics, detection and correction of errors, and psychological preparation.

Level 3
Alberta Volleyball is scheduling a level 3 Indoor technical clinic in August 27-29. To become a Level 3 candidate, an individual must apply in writing (email) to Jim Plakas indicating their previous coaching history and current position. The candidate must be fully certified Level 2 and have their Level 3 Theory our in progress of completing the new multi-sport modules.

To become a Level 3 candidate, an individual must apply in writing to Alberta Volleyball indicating their previous coaching history and current position. The candidate must be fully-certified Level 2 and have completed the Level 3 Theory course prior to starting the Level 3 Practical and Technical.
Note: The level three technical will be scheduled every second year (even years) unless the number of candidates warrants an annual session.
Level 4/5
The National Coaching Institute of Calgary is committted to developing coaches who are interested in becoming world-class professionals capable of preparing athletes for podium performances in sport and life outside of sport. The NCI is offering level 4/5 tasks at the University of Calagary. Candidates must be NCCP Level 3 fully certified and provide a memo from Volleyball Canada confirming your status as an NCCP Level 4 Candidate before registration.
