**Please note: For the 2010 season all members must register into the new National Registration System (NRS) as there has been no membership information saved from the old system**
Step 1 – Registration Procedures
- Go to the Alberta Volleyball website at www.albertavolleyball.com
- Select “Online Registration” from the top or leftside menu bar.
Step 2 - Returning Alberta Volleyball Members
- Enter your Username and Password in the login fields and Click Login.
- You are logged into the Volleyball Canada National Registration system (NRS).
Step 3 - Club Registration
- To register your Club - Once you have registered as a "Club Contact", you will be directed to the “My Organizations” page. Select the "New Pending Club" link. Type in the name of club, select the region, enter the Club address and website URL (if available) and click off on the Waiver button then click Register Club.
- A registration success message is displayed. Click Confirm. The Club Profile page is displayed. You can choose edit, to make any changes to your Club.
- Choose ‘Divisions’ from the Quick Links menu to add required divisions to your Club.
Step 4 – Adding a Team Contact and Teams to your Club
- To register Team Contacts and Teams to your club select ‘Teams’ from the Quick Links menu on the left.
- There are 2 options for registering your Team Contacts – Pay now (Club Contact pays Team Contacts Registration fee) or Pay Later (Team Contact pays their Registration fee)
- OPTION 1 - ADD NEW TEAM CONTACT - PAY NOW: Select Add Team button, choose Assign Member button.
- Step 1 - search the existing database by entering the Team Contacts last name and clicking on Search. Scroll down to view the search results, select your Team Contact and then click on the green “Add Member” button (if they are not in the system go to Step 2).
- Step 2 - If the Team Contact doesn’t show up in the search (Step 1) select the “Add New Member Button” The registration page for a new member is displayed. Enter new members First/Last name plus their email twice and choose the “Send email” button.
- After you have completed Step 1 or Step 2 you will be returned to the add team page. The first and last name of the member is displayed beside the assign member button.
- Select a division and click Add Team, type in the team name and click save.
- Enter your credit card information to pay for the newly added Team Contact and Click Add Team. Continue with the payment until the Home page is displayed.
- The new Team Contact will be sent an email to inform that they have been added to the NRS as the role of a Team Contact and to click the link to return to the NRS.
- The new Team Contact will respond to the email to complete their profile to become a NRS member. No payment will be required. The new member’s status will change to active.
- If the Team was not previously named by the Club Contact, the Team Contact will proceed to select the "New Pending Team" link. Enter the Team Name and website URL and click Save. Team name and URL are saved.
- As the Club Contact you can continue to add more team contacts and teams to you club.
- OPTION 2 - ADD NEW TEAM CONTACT – PAY LATER: Select Add Team button, choose Assign Member button.
- Step 1 - search the existing database by entering the Team Contacts last name and clicking on Search. Scroll down to view the search results, select your Team Contact and then click on the green “Add Member” button (if they are not in the system go to Step 2).
- Step 2 - If the Team Contact doesn’t show up in the search (Step 1) select the “Add New Member Button” The registration page for a new member is displayed. Enter new members First/Last name plus their email twice and choose the “Send email” button.
- After you have completed Step 1 or Step 2 you will be returned to the add team page. The first and last name of the member is displayed beside the assign member button.
- Select a division and click Add Team, type in the team name and click save.
- The Club Teams page is displayed with the new added team displayed in the list.
- Continue to add team contacts if you have multiple teams in your club.
- The new Team Contact will be sent an email to inform them that they have been added to the NRS as the role of a Team Contact and to click the link to return to the NRS.
- The new Team Contact will respond to the email to complete their profile and pay for their membership to become a NRS member. The new member’s status will change to active.
- The Team Contact can now add members to their team.
Step 5 – Team Contact Adding Members to your Team
- Login as a Team Contact and from Home Tab “My Organization” list select the team link. The Home Team information page is displayed. Select a team in the list and click ‘Add Team Member’. The add team roster page is displayed. The Team Name is displayed at the top of the page.
- Step 1 - search the existing database by entering the athletes last name and clicking on Search. Scroll down to view the search results, select your athlete and then click on the green “Add Member” button (if they are not in the system go to Step 2).
- Step 2 - If the athlete doesn’t show up in the search (Step 1) select the “Add New Member Button” The registration page for a new member is displayed. Enter new members First/Last name plus their email twice and choose the “Send email” button.
- After you have completed Step 1 or Step 2 you will be returned to the add team roster page. The first and last name of the member is displayed in the User Selected section.
- Select a role for the member. The role payment amount will automatically be displayed in the payment amount section.
- Enter your credit card information to pay for the new added member and Click Save. Continue with the payment until the Home page is displayed.
- The new Team Member will respond to the email to complete their profile to become a NRS member. No payment will be required. The new member’s status will change to active.
- Return to Home page and re-select your Team link. A list of all team members are also listed here.
Note: Please be aware there is a security feature in the online system. If you are in the process of registering players and called away from the computer for more than 10 minutes, all the information will be lost by the time you return to continue registering. Therefore, do not wander away or get distracted while you are in the process of registering. It is recommended you register your team first. Then log back in to register and submit payment for the appropriate tournaments.
