1) Hall of Fame Awards

Alberta Volleyball's Hall of Fame was officially opened with the first inductions on June 12th, 2004 at the 2004 Tachikara Awards Banquet in Edmonton.  Hall of Fame criteria and nomination forms can be downloaded below.

Alberta Volleyball will induct individuals and teams from the categories of athlete, coach, official, builder and team.  Nominations will be accepted anytime of the year.  Please download the form below and fax to (780) 415-1700.

2) Tachikara Achievement Awards

The Tachikara Achievement Awards are presented to athletes, coaches, officials and volunteers who have made an outstanding contribution to volleyball in Alberta for the indoor club season.  Award nominations are based on the following criteria:

Athlete:  An athlete in the 16U and 18U category who has shown a combination of performance, positive attitude, and leadership for his/her team both on and off the court.

Coach:  A coach in the 15U/16U and 17U/18U category who has led their team to a consistently high level of performance during the season while modeling the principles of fair play and sportsmanship.

Volunteer:  A volunteer (all categories) who has shown a consistently high level of dedication and service to the club or organization over a period of years.

Official:  An official as selected by the Alberta Volleyball Officials Association criteria.

3) Alberta Volleyball Scholarship Program

Alberta Volleyball has instituted a scholarship program to assist Alberta athletes continuing their education at a Post-Secondary instituition in Alberta.  The 18U Tachikara Achievement Award winners (one female/one male) will be awarded a $500 scholarship each towards their university or college education.
