Coaching Requirements

Coaches who have not completed the following NCCP certification requirements prior to the Provincial Championships will be fined $50.00:

• 13U/14U/15U/16U head coaches must be a fully certified Level 1 coach (Theory-Part A, Technical and Practical)
• 17U/18U/21U head coaches must be a fully certified Level 2 coach (Theory-Part B, Technical and Practical)

Please note: In addition to the Provincial fine there is a National Championship fine of $100 for all coaches not meeting the certification requirements.

How Do I Get Certified?

Alberta Volleyball conducts Technical courses several times a year and oversees the Practical  component of the NCCP program.  The Theory component is run by the Alberta Sport, Recreation, Parks and Wildlife foundation who offer courses in all regions of the province throughout the year.
